AFP IA, Central Iowa Chapter Event: National Philanthropy Day 2024

At its root, the word “philanthropy” means love of humankind. Every day, people and organizations step up to do good in our communities. Often, this work goes unrecognized, even though it makes a vital difference. It is essential that we honor those who exemplify commitment, dedication, and talent toward helping society. The Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is proud to honor outstanding philanthropists, volunteers, and organizations throughout Central Iowa whose dedication and generosity greatly enrich the quality of our community. Each year, National Philanthropy Day (NPD) awards are given in recognition of achievements that have had a major impact on a community, national and/or international level.

This year, we are excited to return to the Des Moines Marriott Downtown as we celebrate the 39th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 22, 2024. We look forward to honoring our distinguished honorees and celebrating their remarkable contributions to philanthropy in Central Iowa.
