National Philanthropy Day Highlight: Helen B. Arnold, CFRE
Throughout the month of November, the Association of Fundraising Professionals will be highlighting honorees from National Philanthropy Day chapter events around the world, showcasing outstanding donors, volunteers, corporations, foundations and others who are being recognized for their commitment to change and philanthropy.
Today, we’re highlighting Helen B. Arnold, CFRE, who is being honored by the AFP Las Vegas Chapter with the Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an outstanding fundraising professional who has demonstrated significant contributions to the profession.
President of Arnold Olson Associates, a firm that provides fund development consulting services for nonprofit organizations, Helen was nominated for her nearly 60-year commitment to volunteerism and the fundraising profession.
Author of Volunteering for the GENIUS, contributing author to YOU and Your Nonprofit as well as The Nonprofit Consulting Playbook, Helen has contributed more than 25,000 volunteer hours to nonprofit organizations. She has also served on more than 60 boards, including the AFP Foundation Fundraising Board.
“Helen is one of those special individuals who cares deeply about the fundraising profession and the nonprofit sector and walks the walk with her time, talent and resources. This honor is well-deserved” says Lori Gusdorf, CAE, Executive Vice President of the AFP Foundations for Philanthropy.
