National Philanthropy Day Highlight: Ken Mayhew with AFP of Greater Toronto
Throughout the month of November, the Association of Fundraising Professionals will be highlighting honourees from National Philanthropy Day chapter events around the world, showcasing outstanding donors, volunteers, corporations, foundations and others who are being recognized for their commitment to change and philanthropy.
Today, we’re featuring the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter who is honouring Ken Mayhew as Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
The Greater Toronto chapter of AFP will be awarding Ken Mayhew the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award for his impactful contributions to the nonprofit sector in Canada. Currently serving as the President and CEO of William Osler Health System Foundation (Osler Foundation), Ken Mayhew has created a strong culture focused on diversity and internal giving. Through his efforts he was able to achieve a successful $100 million campaign with the Osler Foundation.
Ken Mayhew is also an active member of AFP, taking on leadership roles including President of the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter Board of Directors, lead for AFP Canada’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) working group, and most recently Chair of AFP Canada Communications Committee. It is his support for not only AFP but for the greater Toronto community that makes Ken Mayhew a true outstanding fundraising professional.
