AFP Canada has developed a Narrative for Canadian Fundraising which can serve as a toolkit for fundraisers as they engage in discussions about the value and impact of fundraising and philanthropy. Revisions in 2022 placed specific emphasis on equity and justice, as well as the devastating legacy colonization has had—and continues to have—on Indigenous communities.
This document is a primer for aspiring fundraisers and experienced fundraising professionals in Canada. It provides an overview of the diversity of the sector, the impact of fundraisers’ contributions, and offers insights about the growing demand for talented fundraising professionals.
