AFP KS, Kansas Topeka Chapter on Philanthropy
The Topeka Chapter on Philanthropy was founded in 1989. Dues are $25. We meet the 3rd Friday of each month at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 SW 10th Avenue. Lunch is available in the library’s café and may be carried into the meeting room. Outside food is not allowed. Networking is from 11:30 to Noon, followed by a speaker and the program ends promptly at 1 p.m. We have members and visitors from many Northeast and Central Kansas communities in addition to Topeka. For your first visit, you are encouraged to be our guest at no charge (except the cost of your own meal).
National Philanthropy Day® is celebrated by the chapter at its regular meeting time in November with a well-attended program which honors fundraisers, philanthropists and nonprofit organizations. Nomination forms for awards will be mailed to AFP-TCOP members and friends in the summer. Please contact Courtney Schmelzle at afptopekachapter@gmail.com regarding membership.
