AFP LA, North Louisiana Chapter
History: The North Louisiana Chapter was founded in 1989, and is based in Shreveport, Louisiana. The chapter serves nearly 40 members. The chapter hosts monthly educational opportunities for development professionals. I addition, members facilitate community awareness regarding ethical philanthropy, and sponsors National Philanthropy Day, which recognizes outstanding contributions by community members. Meetings:
Meetings are held 10 times a year on the second Wednesday each month. Meeting locations rotate each month and are hosted at AFP member's nonprofits. There is no meeting in July or December, but socials are held those months.
