AFP ON, Ottawa Ontario Chapter

The Ottawa Chapter traces its roots to an organization named the Ottawa Fundraising Executives (OFE). In 1996, OFE was integrated within the National Society of Fundraising Executives and became the NSFRE Ottawa Chapter. On Jan. 1, 2000, The National Society of Fundraising Executives emerged from the new millennium as the Association of Fundraising Professionals. This name change was carried out in order to reflect both its international focus and presence at every level of a fundraiser's career. Though the chapter name has undergone a few modifications through the years, the professional commitment of its members has assured that it has become a leading voice in the Canadian philanthropic sector.
