AFP FL, Central Florida Chapter Event: Unlocking Your Planned Giving Potential: Strategies, Personas, and Practical Insights

This presentation is designed to help nonprofit organizations identify and cultivate their planned giving donor pipeline by understanding their unique donor personas and leveraging practical insights from case studies. Through an engaging mix of presentations, collaborative breakout sessions, and debrief discussions, attendees will leave equipped with actionable strategies to enhance their planned giving initiatives.
Presenters:
Lizzy Moyer, MBA CFRE, Director, Planned and Major Gifts, Orlando Health Foundation: A former NCAA Division I student-athlete and alumna of the University of Arkansas, Lizzy also holds two master’s degrees from UCF including a Master of Business Administration. Since joining the Orlando Health Foundation in 2019, Lizzy finds her favorite aspect of philanthropy work is fostering impactful partnerships within the community that inspire meaningful change. Lizzy serves on the board for Charitable Gift Planners of Central Florida, holds the Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, and is actively pursuing the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation.
Steve Jerina, MPA, CAP, Director of Development, Rollins College: Steve received his MPA with a concentration in nonprofit management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. With over a decade of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, higher education and nonprofits, Steve focuses on major and planned gifts throughout the western US. His extensive experience encompasses the breadth of planned giving, major gifts, annual giving, donor advised funds, private foundations, corporate giving, and collective giving with philanthropists from all walks of life. Steve is currently on the board of the Charitable Gift Planners of Central Florida, Crave of Central Florida, and serves as the Governance Chair of the HOPE Foundation in Nebraska, helping provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. He is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and a 21/64 Certified Advisor.
Harrison Porter, MPA CAP CFRE, Senior Director of Development, Orlando Health Foundation: Harrison received his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. He is a people person through and through, and has a passion for improving the quality of life of others. Harrison has worked to support various communities in the past in youth development and workforce development programs, and most recently in his passion area, healthcare resource development. Harrison sits on the Boards of Otem Collective and Canine Companions for the SE Region and is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy
