(Arlington, Virginia) The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the largest association of fundraising professionals in the world, has announced a new strategic relationship with Fundraise Up, the donation platform for enterprise nonprofits that uses AI and machine learning to make it as easy for donors to give as it is to shop online.

Fundraise Up joins AFP’s Strategic Partners program as an Impact Partner and will also serve as a Silver Sponsor of AFP ICON 2022 and ICON 2023, the largest gathering of fundraising professionals in the world. AFP ICON 2022 will be held this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 2 – 4.

Through the partnership, Fundraise Up will be providing education, guidance, and thought leadership to the AFP community covering all aspects of online technology. The company will be delivering educational sessions, webinars, and other resources, and will have a presence in the Exhibit Hall of AFP ICON 2022.

“The more effectively that fundraisers can harness and use technology, the more impact the charitable sector will have on communities around the world,” said Mike Geiger, MBA, CPA, president, and CEO of AFP. “I know Fundraise Up shares that vision and goal, and that’s why we’re excited to be collaborating with them. Fundraise Up has demonstrated that it is committed to not just technology and innovation, but also to the mission of charities, fundraising, and the philanthropic sector. Together, we can bring so much value and so many resources to the fundraising community, which will, in turn, help them create more impact to better change the world.”

"Fundraise Up works to be the gold standard of the digital giving experience. Partnering with AFP, the standard-bearer for professionalism in fundraising, only makes sense," said Salvatore Salpietro, chief partnership officer of Fundraise Up. "During a time in our world where technology continues to be increasingly important in essentially every industry, it's especially important for nonprofits. Technological advancements, like those Fundraise Up strives to bring to the nonprofit space, will make material differences to nonprofits and the missions they work to accomplish. If for-profits can do it, so can non-profits. AFP aligns with our vision of advancement."

The AFP Partners Program provides participating organizations with year-round opportunities to engage the fundraising community and pursue corporate social responsibility through tangential support of the causes for which they work. Through thought leadership, marketing, content, and professional development channels, AFP Partners position themselves as industry leaders committed to advancing philanthropy and ethical fundraising worldwide. Their financial and programmatic support also enables AFP to develop highly competent fundraisers and educate the public on the industry’s ability to fuel societal change in critical areas like education, healthcare, community development, equity and inclusion, and countless other missions.
